आज मैं आप लोगो को उस आदर्श और दायलू राजा बिम्बिसार के नियमो की पालना सामान्य जनता ने किस प्रकार अपने जीवनशैली में उतारा उसके बारे में एक कहानी के रूप में बताने जा रहा हू।
सामान्य जन प्रेरणा तभी लेते हैं, जब आदर्शो की चर्चा करने वाले, नीतिवेत्ता, नियम बनाने वाले स्वयं भी उनका पालन करे। एक साल लू अधिक चली। प्रजा के झोपडे फूस के बने थे। मजबूत सामग्री उपलब्ध न थी। न जाने क्यो लोग लापरवाह भी रहने लग गए थे सो आयेदिन अग्निकांड की घटनाओं के समाचार दरबार में पहुँचते। बिम्बिसार जैसे दयालु राजा के लिए स्वाभाविक था की वह पीड़ितों की सहायता करे। बहुत अग्निकांड हुए तो सहायता राशि का खर्च भी पहले की तुलना में बहुत बढ़ गया।
लोगो की लापरवाही रोकने के लिए राजाज्ञा प्रसारित हुई की जिसका भी घर जलेगा, उसको एक वर्ष श्मशान में रहने का दंड भुगतना पड़ेगा। लोग चौकन्ने हो गए। एक दिन राजा के भूसे के कोठे में आग लगी और देखते-देखते जल गया। समाचार मिलने पर दरबार में राजा को श्मशान में रहने की आज्ञा हुई। दरबारियों ने समझाया----नियम तो प्रजा के लिए होते हैं, राजा तो उन्हें बनाता हैं, इसलिए उस पर वे लागू नही होते। परंतु बिम्बिसार ने किसी की न मानी। वे फूस की झोपड़ी बनाकर श्मशान में रहने लगे। समाचार फैला तो सतर्कता सभी ने अपनाई और अग्निकांड की दुर्घटनाओं का सिलसिला समाप्त हुआ
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Hello friends
Today, I am going to tell you as a story about how the common people brought that ideal and the rule of Daimlu King Bimbisara into their lifestyle.
Common people take inspiration only when those who discuss ideals, policy makers, and rule makers themselves follow them. Lu lasted more than a year. The huts of the subjects were made of thatched. Strong material was not available. Do not know why people started being careless, so Aydin used to reach the news court of fire incidents. It was natural for a compassionate king like Bimbisara to help the victims. If there was a lot of fire, the cost of assistance also increased much more than before.
To stop the negligence of the people, a decree aired, whose house will be burnt, he will have to face the penalty of staying in the crematorium for one year. People were wary. One day a fire broke out in the king's straw and burned while watching. On receiving the news, the king was ordered to stay in the crematorium in the court. The courtiers explained ---- Rules are for the subjects, the king makes them, so they do not apply to them. But Bimbisara did not listen to anyone. They built a thatched hut and lived in the crematorium. Vigilance was followed by news spread and fire accidents ended.
