लक्ष्य की और सतत प्रयास करना चाहिए एक लकड़ी पानी के किनारे पड़ी थी। उसे तीन जानवर खींच रहे थे। मछली नीचे ले जाना चाहती थी, बत्तख ऊपर उड़ा ले जाने की फिराक में थी और कछुआ जमीन पर घसीट रहा था। तीनो पूरा जोर लगा रहे थे, पर वह जहाँ-की तहाँ रही। एक इंच भी आगे ना बढ़ सकी। उसी प्रकार मन, बुद्धि और चित्त जीवन की गाड़ी को अपनी-अपनी दिशा में ले जाना चाहते हैं, पर लक्ष्य एक न होने के कारण जीवन जहाँ -का -तहाँ ही बना रहता हैं और प्रगति जरा भी नही हो पाती। यही बात जीवन के हर पहलू पर लागू होती हैं। प्रगति हेतु मस्तिष्क खाली रखना, अविज्ञात को जानने का प्रयास करना,पूर्वाग्रहों से बचना एवं बिना निराश हुए सतत प्रयास करना अनिवार्य हैं। English translation :: Must strive for the goal      A wood was lying on the banks of the water.
